JOB SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of Pharmacy Operations Manager or team lead, the pharmaceutical labeler, ensures labels are placed on packages accurately and efficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Print out labels for medications
Ensure that labels are placed on the correct medication in a timely manner
Assembles, labels and provides supplies as required under specific contracts
Participates in quality assurance activities as directed
Performs general housekeeping duties in the department on daily basis
Files documents appropriately according to P&P;’s
Communicates appropriately with all members of the healthcare team.
Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities education programs and department/branch meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education, Certificates and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced setting which requires a high level of accuracy.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
Ability to understand basic medical terminology.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio,



and percent and must be able to perform basic algebraic calculations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities organized and disciplined; basic computer skills.
Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to prepare packages for shipment, use computer and other equipment and reach with hands and arms.
Vision requirements include close vision, colour vision, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Lifting required as per employee capacity, employee must notify Supervisor regarding any health issues that may affect ability to lift
WORK ENVIORMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
The employee may be occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
The employee occasionally works near moving parts
The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate
