In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of qualified practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
The Registered Nurse-Perioperative, practicing in a variety of clinical settings, provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or procedural interventions. Working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, the nurse practices in the roles of scrub nurse, circulating nurse, and/or post-anesthesia nurse, ensuring safe, evidence-based care throughout the perioperative continuum and in alignment with the guidelines established by the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC)
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, 07:30 to 15:48, 11:00 to 19:18 (rotating)
