Established professional credibility as evidenced by a post-secondary degree combined with a Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) designation in good standing.
Minimum of five (5)
years of relevant experience in financial operations, systems, and reporting.
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment, preferably within the public sector.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial management, internal controls, and Canadian accounting standards.
Demonstrated experience with integrated ERP systems and strong technical proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality while working in a complex, deadline‑driven environment.
Demonstrated abilities that align with the Douglas College Core Competency Framework.
Regular hours of work are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, however occasional evenings and weekends may be required. This position will be based at the New Westminster Campus. Occasional travel between Douglas College’s locations as required.
