Join the Minnesota Department of Public Safety as a Purchaser supporting the State Patrol. This role focuses on procurement and management of goods and services within the agency.

As a Purchaser, you will serve as a key point of contact, managing procurement processes for the State Patrol Division. With at least two years of experience in purchasing, you will negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with established policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and robust customer service skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement of supplies and services for 18 State Patrol sections
• Negotiate contracts in alignment with state policies
• Prepare and award solicitations and purchase orders




• Provide training and support to staff in procurement processes
• Ensure compliance with fiscal practices and state regulations

Requirements:
• Minimum two years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Ability to obtain $25,000 local purchasing authority
• Skills in math and accounting for accurate order preparation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder interactions
