JumpxGogh is a combined professional services organization formed from the merger of JumpModel and Gogh Solutions — two IFS-focused consulting firms with deep delivery expertise and strong client relationships across North America. We are PE-backed, growing quickly, and building the team and infrastructure to scale. Our people are our most important differentiator, and this hire reflects that commitment.

Role overview
We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to join our finance team at a growing, PE-backed professional services firm. This is a fully remote role with direct ownership of the monthly close, year-end audit, and consolidation across our Canadian and US entities. You’ll manage one direct report and an outsourced bookkeeping relationship, own revenue recognition, cash management and AP oversight, and work closely with the VP of Finance as the primary technical accounting resource for the organization — this is a hands‑on role with the opportunity to grow within a dynamic organization.

Reports to: Vice President of Finance Direct Reports: 1 (Bookkeeper)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and develop one direct report (Bookkeeper), including delegation of transactional work, review of their output, and professional development

Manage the relationship with an outsourced bookkeeping service responsible for two entities, including reviewing their work for accuracy, setting deadlines, and ensuring consistency with internal accounting policies

Serve as the day-to-day technical accounting lead, while partnering and escalating strategic matters to the VP of Finance

Month-End Close & Reporting

Assist in the development and implementation of key accounting policies to ensure the combined enterprise is audit ready

Own the full month-end close process in QuickBooks Online, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis (accrual basis of accounting across all entities)

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely

Coordinate with the outsourced bookkeeping service to ensure their assigned entities close on the same timeline and accrual standard as internally managed entities

Identify and drive process improvements to shorten close timelines, increase accuracy, and support scalability of the organization (familiarity and openness to AI solutions is preferred)

Prepare and review intercompany transactions and eliminations across Canadian and US entities, including the impact of FX translation

Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure consistent accounting treatment across entities and jurisdictions

Revenue Accounting & Invoicing

Own revenue recognition and revenue accounting for all entities, ensuring appropriate treatment of project‑based/professional services revenue (e.g., WIP, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables) under an accrual framework

Provide oversight of the invoicing/billing function, including reviewing billing schedules, client invoices, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of revenue capture

Investigate and resolve revenue‑related discrepancies, cut‑off issues, and billing exceptions

Accounts Payable & Treasury

Provide oversight of the accounts payable function, including reviewing vendor invoices, approval workflows, and payment runs for accuracy and appropriate coding

Support treasury‑related functions, including cash flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, and cross‑border cash movements between Canadian and US entities

Assist the VP of Finance with cash forecasting and liquidity management as needed

Consolidation (Canada & US) & Year-End Audit

Partner with the VP of Finance on monthly/quarterly consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, including involvement in reporting packages for the private equity sponsor and board reporting materials

Maintain a robust working understanding of both Canadian and US accounting and tax treatment (revenue recognition, payroll, indirect tax) to ensure entities are accounted for correctly under their respective frameworks

Support internal and external audit requests, including PBC schedules

Payroll & Compliance

Review and account for all payroll expenses, ensuring accurate GL coding, and resolving discrepancies with the VP of Finance and VP of People & Culture

Maintain a solid working understanding of both Canadian payroll (CPP, EI, provincial items such as Ontario EHT) and US payroll (federal/state tax withholding, unemployment insurance) sufficient to review provider output, answer audit questions, ensure compliance (e.g., CRA), and catch errors — direct processing is not required, as payroll is outsourced

Manage HST/GST filings and applicable US sales/use tax compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA, required (Canadian preferred)

4+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred), including experience managing or mentoring staff

Strong hands‑on experience with accrual‑basis accounting, revenue recognition, and month‑end close in a multi‑entity and multi‑currency environment (GAAP and/or IFRS)

Experience overseeing accounts payable, invoicing/billing, and treasury/cash management functions

Proven ability to operate effectively and independently in a fully remote environment, including managing a remote direct report and external service providers

Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) preferred

Understanding of Canadian payroll (CPP, EI, provincial health taxes) and working familiarity with US payroll concepts; experience working with Rippling or a similar payroll/HRIS platform (Gusto, ADP, Justworks) is an asset

Prior experience in a PE‑backed or private equity portfolio company environment is a strong asset

High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity in handling financial data

Innovative Environment: Be part of a forward‑thinking company that values creativity and continuous improvement.

Professional Growth: Opportunities for career advancement and skill development.

Competitive Compensation: We provide a competitive salary along with an attractive benefits package. Our offerings are designed to meet regional standards and prioritize our employees’ well‑being, ensuring they have the support and resources they need to thrive both personally and professionally.
