Description Your responsibilities will include:
Generating, writing, researching and editing stories;
Working closely and collaboratively with the editor-in-chief and rest of the Page One team;
Staying up to date on the people, stories and trends in the local design-build community;
Building relationships with builders and designers;
Tracking and maintaining a database of new homes and related projects;
Assisting with online content as needed;
Attending and representing Spruce magazine at local events.
Qualifications Minimum three years’ experience in magazine publishing or other related media;
Post-secondary education in journalism or a related field;
Experience editing and writing home and design content;
Experience with Google Docs and similar technology;
Public-speaking skills are an asset.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, skilled and able to work to a deadline, and will reside on
Southern Vancouver Island.
