This full-time position supports wildfire response from May to September under the Emergency Preparedness Program. Candidates must maintain readiness, ensure training certifications are compliant, and work closely with community partners and BCWS personnel. The role demands physical fitness and communication skills to effectively participate in various wildfire and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain individual job safety at all times
• Keep crew equipment ready for fire line action
• Gather critical information for daily operations
• Participate in Wildfire mitigation project tasks
• Educate the community on wildfire prevention
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 or Class 7N driver’s license
• WorkSafe recognized Basic First Aid Certificate
• Previous outdoor experience required
• Robust physical fitness and stamina
• Ability to navigate rugged terrain safely
