The Role GrizzlyTrek is seeking ticketed Blasters to join our valued client's team at mining operations in Saskatchewan. This is a full time, rotational position on a production drill and blast crew, paying $35.00 to $40.00 per hour plus a $70.00 per day living out allowance, with accommodations provided.
You will load and fire shot patterns to an approved blast design, working alongside drillers, ground crew, and mine engineering against a daily production plan. Explosives handling, storage, transport,

and disposal follow site procedure and provincial regulation at every step. Your blaster's certificate is the qualification for this role, so you are hired for the ticket you already hold.
What You'll Do Load, prime, tie in, and fire shot patterns to the approved blast design
Inspect drill patterns and confirm hole depth, spacing, and condition before loading
Handle, transport, store, and account for explosives and detonators to regulation
Conduct pre-blast clearance and post-blast inspection, including misfire procedures
Complete blast reports, magazine records, and daily documentation accurately
Work with mine engineering on pattern adjustments for ground conditions and fragmentation
Participate in site safety meetings, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks
What You Bring Valid Saskatchewan blaster's certificate, current and in good standing
Two or more years of blasting experience in a mining or heavy industrial setting
Working knowledge of explosives handling, storage, and transport regulations
Ability to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test
Valid driver's licence and a current driver's abstract
Physically able to work rotational shifts in all conditions

Preferred Qualifications Underground blasting experience, or potash and uranium site experience
Common Core, surface miner, or underground mining modules

Ground control, mine rescue, or first aid certification
Work Environment Production mining, not one-off demolition work. Sites operate year round on rotational schedules, with accommodations provided and a $70.00 per day living out allowance on top of your hourly rate. Shot patterns are designed and reviewed before they are loaded, and safety procedure around magazines, transport, and clearance is enforced without exception.

$70.00 per day living out allowance
Accommodations provided
