We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Machine Builder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, integrating, and troubleshooting custom automated machinery and systems used in manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, as well as a working knowledge of industrial robotics and how they integrate into automation systems. The position would also require travel to customer sites for installation, startup, and support of equipment.

Essential Functions

Build industrial control panels according to electrical drawings and schematics

Perform panel layout, component mounting, wire routing, and termination of electrical components

Work with controls engineers and machine builders to wire custom automation equipment

Install and connect sensors, motors, drives, control devices, and associated electrical components

Route and secure wiring and cabling in a neat, organized, and professional manner

Verify wiring accuracy and perform electrical checkout activities





Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues during machine assembly and testing

Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures

Assist with machine installation, startup, and support activities at customer facilities as required

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience wiring industrial automation equipment or control panels

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings

Experience with industrial sensors, motors, drives, and control components

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Past on-the-job travel and willing to travel 20-25%; domestic and international travel

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work around industrial equipment

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to use hand and power tools safely
