Make a difference in youth lives with SLCS as a Full-Time Restorative Facilitator, addressing conflict and preventing violence in schools through restorative practices. This role requires a agile facilitator who is committed to client-centered service and community collaboration.
SLCS is hiring two facilitators for a project funded by the Building Safer Communities Fund aimed at preventing gun and gang violence. You will work collaboratively with schools, youths, and families, providing essential support through peer mediation and circle conferencing. Balancing administrative duties and community engagement, you will ensure safe and inclusive environments for participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support youth in school and community settings
• Facilitate peer mediation and circle conferencing sessions
• Train school staff on restorative practices
• Liaise regularly with school personnel and community partners
• Collect and report statistical data for program evaluation
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education from an accredited institution
• 1-3 years of relevant youth work experience
• Experience in justice, mental health, or education settings
• Valid G class Driver's License and reliable vehicle access
• First Aid/CPR Level C certification
Engage with diverse communities and support youth through restorative approaches at SLCS, promoting safety and collaboration in London.
