Lead Hand / Driver (Trailer Experience Required)

About Us

Muskoka Event Services is one of Central Ontario's leading event rental companies, providing tents, tables, chairs, dance floors, staging, linens, and event infrastructure for weddings, festivals, corporate events, and private functions. We're looking for a dependable, experienced Lead Hand / Driver to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate pickup trucks with large equipment trailers
- Load, secure, transport, and unload rental equipment
- Lead a crew during deliveries, installations, and pickups
- Set up and dismantle tents, flooring, staging, lighting, and event rentals
- Complete equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Ensure trailers and vehicles remain organized and clean
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain professional customer service
- Assist in warehouse loading, inventory, and preparation when required

Qualifications
- Valid G Class Driver's Licence (required)
- Experience towing large trailers is required
- Strong leadership and communication skills




- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Experience in event rentals, construction, landscaping, moving, or similar industries is considered an asset

Bonus Qualifications
- A Licence (AZ) or Restricted A (AR) Licence is considered a major asset and qualifies for higher pay
- Forklift or skid steer experience
- Equipment operation experience
