POSITION: Technical Sales – Engineered Services
LOCATION: Calgary
REPORTS TO: General Manager, Fabrication.
Works closely with: Product Specialist, Engineered Projects and CAE FAB Project Team.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced, relationship-driven Technical Sales qualified with a proven ability to develop new business and build lasting customer relationships. You understand the Western Canadian commercial, industrial and government project landscape and bring a solid background in outside sales, contract sales, procurement processes, and bid-spec projects.
You are comfortable navigating relationships with EPCs, general contractors, procurement teams, and end users, and understand how to position technical solutions within complex, project-driven sales environments.
You are proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable taking ownership of business development while working closely with technical and operational teams. You can confidently represent fabrication, packaging, and engineered solutions and translate technical capabilities into value for customers.
You understand CAE’s current capabilities but are not limited by them. You are curious, proactive, and willing to explore new markets and opportunities, including those that may require collaboration beyond CAE’s existing offering. You are comfortable initiating internal conversations to determine how resources, expertise, or capabilities across sister companies and other areas of the organization can be leveraged to create broader solutions for customers.
About the Role:
As our Technical Sales professional, you will be responsible for expanding CAE’s fabrication, packaging, and engineered services business across Western Canada.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Fabrication, this is a new-business-focused outside sales role responsible for increasing CAE’s presence within commercial, industrial, and government markets and developing opportunities through EPCs, general contractors, procurement teams, and end users.
You will work closely with the Product Specialist, Engineered Projects and CAE’s internal technical, project and operational teams to ensure opportunities are strategically pursued from initial identification through quotation, bid submission, and award.
Success in this role will also depend on strong communication and collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Fabrication. The successful candidate will look beyond the immediate scope of CAE’s current offering, identify where additional value may be created, and help connect the right internal resources to pursue opportunities that make strategic and commercial sense.
Key Responsibilities

- Cross-Functional Collaboration — Maintain strong communication across Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Fabrication to identify broader customer solutions, align internal capabilities, and ensure opportunities are evaluated and pursued collaboratively.
- Cross‑Support for Engineered Projects — Collaborate with the Product Specialist, Engineered Projects to support fabrication and packaging opportunities, including shared accounts where appropriate.
- Account Management — Maintain relationships with key customers, ensuring continuity, satisfaction, and repeat business.
