This permanent role at the Wascana Park facility requires a second-class power engineering ticket and a refrigeration engineers’ certificate. The Chief Engineer will ensure compliance with Saskatchewan regulations while supervising engineers with various class tickets. Your mechanical expertise will be vital for plant operational excellence and collaboration on auxiliary equipment repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of high-pressure steam plant operations
• Ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements
• Supervise heating plant engineers on shift
• Contribute to budget and capital planning efforts
• Collaborate on preventative maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
• Valid second-class power engineering ticket
• Refrigeration engineers’ certificate required
• Proven hands-on experience in steam plant operation
• Solid mechanical aptitude and tool experience
• Knowledge of computer-based operating systems
