Make an impact with our Corporate Recovery & Restructuring team as a Senior Manager. This diverse team of professionals assists lenders and debtors with managing challenging financial situations. As a trusted advisor, you’ll help clients navigate through times of financial distress.

Responsibilities

Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of corporate insolvency services including identifying the strategic, operational and financial challenges of a business, recommending immediate stabilizing activities, providing operational and performance improvement advice and addressing debt restructuring, refinancing or recovery needs

Lead data analysis, review of accounting records and the development of financial models

Execute formal and informal restructurings and administer formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, proposals, receiverships, CCAAs, liquidations, etc.

Advise lenders,



creditors or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, restructurings, bankruptcies, liquidations, etc.

Develop relationships with special loan financiers, insolvency lawyers, business executives, etc.

Prepare and review all statutory documentation associated with the BIA, CCAA, Wind-Up Acts, Business Corporation Acts, etc.

Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)

Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to stakeholders; ensure stakeholders’ needs are met and relationships grow and develop

Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to businesses

Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet stakeholders’ needs

Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews

Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to stakeholder and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes





Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Completion of a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) certification and is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset

6+ years of insolvency experience, specifically corporate restructuring experience

Extensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act

Strong business and practice development skills

Proven people management, relationships building and leadership skills

Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills

The annual salary range for this position is: $120,000 - $170,000.
