Hourly Rate: AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $ )

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay. These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Responsibilities

- Conducting Seminars, which includes evaluating presentations by each student and providing written feedback to each student on each presentation within one week
- All marking of written assignments
- Attending and participating in Teaching Assistant meetings
- Conducting a computer skills Seminar with all ADM 2381 students instructing them in the effective use of Microsoft’s PowerPoint software
- Maintaining weekly office hours (approximately 1hr per week) in the ADM 2381 T.A. Office for 10 weeks during the semester
- Attending final exam presentations at the end of the semester, evaluating each presenter, and providing feedback to the course Professor
- This will involve ten (10) hours of work

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum C.G.P.A. of 8.0
- Minimum grade of A- in ADM2381 or its equivalent, and minimum grade of A- in ENG1131 (Business English) or equivalent
- Understanding or/and experience with business presentation format and guidelines for making effective business presentations
- A good knowledge of general business subjects
- Ability to conduct a Seminar in a professional manner
- Demonstrated written and verbal English language skills




- Thorough and proven working knowledge of Microsoft’s PowerPoint software program
- Experience with online course delivery considered an asset
- Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (ex. Microsoft Teams)

Comments and Preferences

Preference will be given to higher grades

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course

Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs

Irregular schedule, to be announced

Candidates on short list will be interviewed by course Professor including a 5 minutes business presentation using PowerPoint software and School of Management presentation guidelines

Please note that the amount of position could be increased depending on the amount of registration

The posted hours could also be increased by 10% to 30% due to registration

Please note, you will be required to have access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam

Contract hours may be reallocated among different tasks, which the professor may adjust over the course of the semester

Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor

Please note, the method of teaching or working may change due to health or other reasons
