Maybell Quantum is seeking an experiencedProduction Technicianto support the manufacturing of finalassembly andsubassemblies fordilution refrigerators. The ideal candidate is a highly hands-on individual with experience consistently following defined processes,operatingspecialized production equipment, recording data, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This role requires robust attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Role Overview
As a member of the production organization, you will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Science teams to fabricate, assemble, andvalidatesystems. You willbe responsible forexecuting critical processes such asassembly,brazing, sintering, leak checking, and press operations, ensuring that all work meets design intent, quality standards, and safety requirements.This role requires exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to continuously refining technical skills, particularly within the sintering process, to improve product quality and process consistency day after day. You will also helpmaintaina clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Schedule
This position is scheduled for four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10 schedule).
Overtime hours may be needed based on production demands and business needs, so schedule flexibility to support occasional overtime and schedule adjustments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Performhands-on fabrication and assemblyof different systems
Operate and supportsinter presses, sinter ovens, braze ovens, and associated tooling
Executebrazing and joining operationsper approved work instructions and quality standards
Performvacuum and sniffer leak checkingofdilution subassemblies and components
Accuratelyrecord process parameters, inspection results, and production data
Follow and contribute tostandard work instructions, process controls, and quality documentation
SupportQuality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including in-process and final inspections
Perform basicmechanical and electrical troubleshootingof production equipment asrequired
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Science, and Qualification teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Provide feedback to improvesafety, quality, yield, and productivity
Maintain asafe, clean, and organized workspacein accordance with5S and safety standards
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum3years of experiencein a manufacturing or production environment
Experience fabricatingcomplex and/or delicate mechanical assemblies
Hands-on experience operatingproduction equipment(presses, ovens, furnaces, leak checkers, etc.)
Ability to interpret and followStandard Work Instructions, process specifications, and quality standards
Proficient use ofhand tools and calibrated measurement tools(calipers, tape measure, multimeter)
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira) and fundamental math skills
Continuous improvement mindset with a“do it right the first time”approach
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to process discipline
Desired Skills and Experience
Working knowledge ofLean Manufacturing concepts(5S, Kaizen, Gemba, Kanban)
Experience withvacuum leak checking(helium mass spec, sniffer testing)
Experience operatingsintering, brazing, or thermal processing equipment
Familiarity withtube fittings(KF, CF, VCR, compression, Aeroquip)
Ability to read and understandProcess and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;)
Experience working withpumps, pressure gauges, pressure vessels, flow meters, and pneumatics
Experience withwelding, soldering, and brazing
Background in startup, R&D;, or prototype manufacturing environments
Experience producinglaboratory, cryogenic, or robotics equipment is a plus
Physically able tolift and carry up to 50lbs
The hourly base rate for this position is $26-$31. Final salary will be based on candidate experience.
