Implementation Specialist, Fundraising Technology Work Arrangement: Remote within approved locations in Canada (except Quebec), or the United States
Position Overview Our client is seeking an Implementation Specialist to support customer onboarding and implementation projects for fundraising and donor‑management technology platforms.
The successful candidate will guide customers through the implementation lifecycle, including platform configuration, data migration, campaign setup, training, and go‑live support. This role requires a combination of customer‑facing communication, project coordination, technical troubleshooting, and data‑management skills.
Key Responsibilities Manage multiple customer implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Guide new customers through onboarding, platform configuration, training, and go‑live activities.
Lead end‑to‑end implementations of fundraising and donor‑management solutions.
Configure donation forms, fundraising campaigns, events, and peer‑to‑peer fundraising capabilities.
Support payment‑processing configurations, integrations, and related troubleshooting.
Migrate, validate, manipulate, and transform customer data, including contact, donation, campaign, and custom‑field information.
Analyze data to identify quality issues and support accurate imports, exports, and reporting.
Translate customer goals and operational requirements into practical system configurations and workflows.
Provide consultative support through customer meetings, training sessions, and email communication.
Establish clear project expectations, document requirements, and proactively communicate risks or potential delays.
Troubleshoot technical and functional issues throughout the implementation process.
Gather customer feedback and communicate product‑related needs, challenges, and opportunities to internal teams.
Collaborate with implementation, customer success, sales, services,
and product stakeholders to support smooth project execution and customer handoffs.
Maintain current knowledge of platform features, implementation practices, fundraising workflows, and customer needs.
Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in software implementation, project management, customer engagement, fundraising operations, or a related field.
Experience implementing or supporting customer‑facing software platforms.
Robust project‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and customer expectations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, analysis, validation, imports, exports, and reporting.
Experience working with customer data and supporting data‑migration activities.
Demonstrated experience providing technical or customer support through email, virtual meetings, and phone calls.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Customer‑focused, approachable, and comfortable working directly with external stakeholders.
Ability to learn and manage multiple software applications simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing fundraising technology, donor‑management systems, CRM platforms, donation forms, or campaign‑management tools.
Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising operations, online giving, donor stewardship, and campaign workflows.
Experience supporting payment‑processing solutions,
platform integrations, or workflow configurations.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, or comparable collaboration and CRM platforms.
Experience delivering customer training, product demonstrations, or consultative implementation services.
