Be a vital part of Kahkewistahaw First Nation by supporting nutritious meal services as a Nutritionist Assistant. Help deliver healthy breakfast and lunch for over 250 students at Chief Kahkewistahaw Community School.
This role reports to the Principal and Assistant Principal, ensuring students have access to nutritious meals that enhance their academic performance. Key tasks include menu planning, budgeting, food safety practices, and maintaining kitchen organization. The Breakfast and Lunch Program operates during the academic year and continues into the summer months for kitchen preparations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with menu planning for breakfast and lunch
• Support budgeting and food inventory management
• Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
• Help with preparation for summer kitchen operations
Requirements:
• Experience in meal planning or kitchen management
• Familiarity with food safety regulations
• Robust organizational skills in kitchen settings
• Ability to collaborate with school administration
• Commitment to student health and nutrition
