About the Kemess Mine
Kemess is located in north-central British Columbia, approximately 250 km north of Smithers and 430 km northwest of Prince George, with fly-in access. The property is host to the former Kemess South (KS) Mine, the Kemess Underground (KUG) deposit, and the Kemess East (KE) deposit.

Existing on-site infrastructure includes offices, warehouse, laydowns, maintenance facilities, a 300-person accommodation camp footprint, crushed ore stockpile and reclaim, access and service roads, an airstrip, explosives magazines, and an electrical substation.

KemessMine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a full-time Senior Coordinator, Safety to join our KemessMine operations site.

This isa camp-based position, with a rotation of 14 days on /14 days off ,witha 12-hour daily schedule.

Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, the Senior Coordinator, Safety supports the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the site's health, safety, and security programs. The role works closely with operational departments to promote a secure work environment, ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures, and foster a culture of safety ownership and accountability across the operation.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Support the continuous improvement of the site's Health & Safety Management System.

Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining health and safety policies, procedures, standards, and secure work practices.





Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations, ensuring corrective actions are identified and tracked to completion.

Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventative actions.

Assist with injury management processes and return-to-work programs.

Monitor health and safety performance metrics and prepare reports for management.

Support internal and external health and safety audits and regulatory inspections.

Coordinate and deliver health and safety orientation and ongoing training programs for employees and contractors.

Promote employee engagement through safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives.

Maintain health and safety documentation, records, and reporting systems.

Assist departments in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace risks.

Ensure compliance with company policies, provincial and federal legislation, and mining industry standards.

Support contractor safety management by monitoring compliance with site requirements.

Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and external service providers as required.

Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.

Support site security initiatives and ensure compliance with site access and security procedures.

Stay current with applicable occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

AboutYou
To qualify for thisrole, t he following skillset and experience will be critical to successfully performing this role:

Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.

Minimum 6 years of health and safety experience within mining, heavy industry, construction, or a similar industrialenvironment.

Working knowledge of British Columbia occupational health and safety legislation and mining regulations.

Experience participating in incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment,



and safety management systems.

Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and health and safety reporting systems.
