Overview
We are seeking ahands-on and experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-dayoperations in a unionized manufacturing environment producing high-voltageequipment for the power transmission industry. Reporting to the ProductionManager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for executing productionplans, ensuring compliance with Ontario’s regulatory standards, driving safetyinitiatives, and leading manufacturing excellence on the shop floor.
This role requiresactive involvement in EHS risk assessments, root cause analysis,and the development and implementation of manufacturing procedures, witha strong emphasis on safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a make-to-orderproduction setting.

Your Tasks:

Supervise daily operations and directhourly production employees in a unionized environment, ensuring safety,quality, delivery, and productivity targets are met.

Ensure compliance with applicable Ontariohealth and safety regulations, including OHSA and CSA standardsrelevant to electrical manufacturing and high-voltage equipment.

Actively participate in EHS(Environment, Health & Safety) risk assessments and contribute tohazard identification, mitigation, and corrective actions.

Lead or support root cause analysis for safety incidents, quality defects,



or production disruptions usingtools such as 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagrams.

Assist in the development, revision,and implementation of manufacturing procedures and standard workinstructions, ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, andSupply Chain teams to support smooth execution of make-to-order productionschedules.

Provide guidance and support to teammembers, promote a positive labor-management relationship, and ensureadherence to the collective agreement.

Monitor key metrics such as laborefficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime; identify trends and proposecorrective actions.

Maintain accurate documentation related towork orders, safety inspections, and quality checks.

Support continuous improvement activities,including Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.

Requirements:

Solid understanding of Ontario’soccupational health and safety laws, including knowledge of ESA, WSIB, andOHSA regulations.

Strong leadership and interpersonalskills, with proven success in a unionized manufacturingenvironment.

Ability to read and interpret engineeringdrawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.

Skilled in problem-solving techniques anddriving root cause investigations.

Familiarity with Lean tools and continuousimprovement methodologies.

Strong organizational and communication skills;able to coordinate effectively across departments

College diploma or university degree inEngineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in aamanufacturing/assembly environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisoryrole.





Ability to work on a 3-shift rotation andcover other supervisor shifts as required.

Experience in make-to-order production and high-voltage or electro-mechanical equipment ishighly preferred.

Prior experience working in a unionized environment is required.

Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP,Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act, we are committed to providing clear and accessible information about compensation for this role. The expected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 / Annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on several job-related factors, including relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, professional certifications or license, specialized skills aligned with the role, and internal equity considerations. This role offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including paid vacation, group health benefits, pension plan, bonus, and additional employee programs.
