Role Description The Territory Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Canada, responsible for managing and growing a defined geographic territory. Day-to-day activities include visiting customer sites, understanding their equipment and process needs, and recommending suitable grain processing and handling solutions. The role involves building and maintaining solid relationships with farmers, producers, and seed growers, following up on leads, and identifying new business opportunities.
The Territory
Manager collaborates with internal teams on pricing, proposals, and project coordination,
and provides ongoing support to customers throughout the sales cycle. This position also requires regular territory travel, participation in industry events, and accurate reporting on sales activities, forecasts, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in territory management, customer relationship management, and business development.
- Experience in agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, or related technical sales, with the ability to understand and explain equipment solutions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse customer groups.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including planning travel, managing pipelines, and prioritizing opportunities.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, email, and standard office software for reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Post-secondary education in agriculture, engineering, business, or a related field is an asset.
- Prior experience working with farmers, producers, or seed growers, and knowledge of Prairie agriculture, is considered beneficial.
