Project Manager / Business Analyst

Our client is a leading global financial services organization undertaking strategic initiatives across Finance Technology, Product Control, and Regulatory Reporting. As part of a growing Canadian team, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst to support critical finance and regulatory applications used across North America, Europe, and Asia. This role offers the opportunity to work with global stakeholders, drive delivery across distributed teams, and contribute to complex regulatory and financial reporting initiatives.

Your New Role

As a Project Manager / Business Analyst, you will serve as a hands-on delivery lead supporting Product Control and Finance Technology functions across multiple regions. You will be responsible for managing Agile delivery processes, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, gathering and documenting business requirements, and coordinating development efforts with offshore teams.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading daily Scrum ceremonies and Agile delivery activities for regulatory reporting initiatives.
- Managing project plans, budgets, timelines, risks, and resource allocation across multiple workstreams.
- Acting as the liaison between business stakeholders, Product Control teams, Regulatory functions, and technology teams.
- Gathering, analysing, and translating business requirements into user stories and functional specifications.
- Managing Jira backlogs, user stories, sprint planning, and release activities.
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management,



and stakeholder communications.
- Providing regular status reporting and project governance updates using Clarity, Confluence, Jira, and related project management tools.
- Identifying project risks and issues proactively and driving remediation activities through completion.
- Leveraging approved AI-enabled tools to improve delivery efficiency and operational effectiveness while adhering to governance and security standards.
- Supporting finance and regulatory reporting applications used across the Americas and other global regions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

- 7+ years of experience within banking or financial services technology environments.
- Strong background supporting Product Control, Finance Technology, Regulatory Reporting, or Capital Markets functions.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects and applications within complex global organizations.
- Proven Project Management and Business Analysis experience with end-to-end ownership of technology initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and modern delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Rally, Atlassian tools, Confluence, and backlog management.
- Experience with project portfolio and governance tools such as Clarity and Microsoft Project.




- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across business and technical teams.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills for data analysis, validation, and reporting.
- Experience coordinating global development teams, particularly offshore delivery teams.
- Knowledge of US financial and regulatory reporting environments.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Experience with Qlik reporting or cloud-based reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of hedging processes, FAS 133, interest rate swaps, fixed income products, or related financial instruments.
- Understanding of front-to-back trade flows and data integration between front-office and back-office systems.
- Familiarity with P&L; platforms, Regulatory Reporting systems, and General Ledger environments.
- Experience leveraging AI tools within project delivery and operational processes.
