Trial Logistics Specialist (Permanent Full time)

Location: Morden, MB

DL Seeds is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead field trial logistics, seed inventory management, and seasonal team operations for our research program across Western Canada.

Core Responsibilities

- Trial Logistics & Seed Preparation: Coordinate field research trials, including seed treatment applications, trial packaging, and organizing the distribution of research seed across DL Seeds global breeding network.
- Harvest & Quality Testing: Manage the shipping and processing of harvest samples. Oversee execution of internal and external seed testing requirements.
- Inventory Management: Track inbred and hybrid seed inventories within the DL Seeds’ database.
- Facility Management: Lead workspace management for seed processing and inventory). Facilities Responsible for purchasing and inventory of field research supplies for the DL Seeds’ Agronomy Team.
- Seasonal Staff Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal staff during peak operational periods. Coordinate staff support for Agronomy Team during seeding, trial maintenance, and harvest while ensuring compliance with safe work procedures.

Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 1-2 seasons of experience in agricultural research, seed handling, or trial logistics is considered an asset.




- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities, manage peak operational workloads, and meet tight seasonal deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and supervise seasonal staff effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams) and comfort working with inventory or database software.
- Must be a resident of Canada with a valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 driver’s license is considered an asset) There is no public transportation to research station locations.
- Ability to lift/handle seed bags and sample boxes, with the flexibility to work extended hours during peak seed preparation and harvest seasons.
