With a commitment to excellence and innovation, our client is a leader in their industry. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Vancouver.

Job Summary:

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vendor invoices are processed accurately and on time. You will work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly and that all vendors are paid in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and assisting with month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy of coding, pricing, and approvals.

- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.





- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

- Assist with month-end close processes, including reconciling accounts payable balances and preparing accruals.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system.

- Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Experience with accounting software.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
