Position Summary The Project Manager – Glazing Systems Program is responsible for developing, launching, and managing a recent glazing systems program at Apex Aluminum. This role serves as the internal and external lead for the program and acts as the primary liaison between the system provider, Apex Sales, Production, Quality, customers, and installation partners.

This position will build the end-to-end program framework required to successfully promote, sell, and support a pre-engineered glazing system supplied by a third-party system provider. The role combines program development, technical expertise, customer engagement, and field support responsibilities.

The incumbent will act as the internal subject matter expert for the glazing system and “own” the product line within Apex, ensuring successful commercialization, technical integrity, and customer adoption.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Program

Development &

- Product Ownership Develop and implement the full glazing systems program, including structure for promotion, sales enablement, technical support, and customer delivery

Define and maintain the operating model for how the glazing system is positioned, sold, and supported within Apex

Act as the internal owner of the glazing system product line

Formalize the system provider commercial framework, including compensation structure and program alignment

Establish internal processes for quoting support, technical validation, and program execution 2.

Technical

Expertise &

- Engineering Coordination Serve as the internal subject matter expert for the glazing system, including profiles, components, and installation requirements

Ensure alignment between system design and Apex extrusion capabilities

Coordinate technical requirements with system provider, including updates, modifications, and clarifications

Support technical validation of system applications in coordination with internal teams 3. Submittals, Documentation &

- Compliance Support and coordinate technical submittals,



shop drawings, and system documentation as required

Ensure glazing system applications align with applicable building codes, standards, and performance requirements

Provide technical input for project-specific requirements including structural, thermal, and installation considerations

Maintain program documentation standards for internal and external stakeholders 4. Sales &

- Customer Support Act as technical liaison for Apex Sales team during the sales cycle

Support customer engagement with technical presentations, product positioning, and solution development

Identify and develop key strategic customers for the glazing systems program

Respond to customer technical inquiries related to system design, application, and installation 5.

Installation

Support &

- Field Engagement Provide onsite support at customer project sites during installation of Apex glazing systems, as required

Support installers and contractors with technical guidance during installation phases

Troubleshoot installation-related issues and provide corrective recommendations

Validate system performance and installation quality during field visits

Support post-installation reviews and feedback collection 6. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate closely with system provider to ensure technical and commercial alignment

Work with Apex Sales, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure program success

Act as the central point of coordination for all glazing system-related activities within Apex

Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders (customers, consultants,



installers) 7. Warranty, Issues &

- Continuous Improvement Support investigation of field issues and installation-related concerns

Coordinate root cause analysis with Quality and system provider

Contribute to resolution of warranty-related or performance issues

Gather feedback from customers and installers to improve system performance and program effectiveness Role Requirements 7+ years of experience in aluminum extrusion, glazing systems, façade systems, or related construction/manufacturing environments

Experience in technical project, product, or program management roles in building envelope systems

Exposure to installation, field support, or technical services in glazing or façade systems

Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, quality, and external vendors or system providers

Experience interacting with contractors, installers, or construction project stakeholders (preferred) Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of aluminum extrusion profiles and their application in glazing or façade systems

Knowledge of glazing system installation methods and field execution requirements

Familiarity with technical drawings, shop drawings, and submittal processes (preferred)

Understanding of building codes, façade performance requirements, and installation standards (preferred) Competencies Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand and explain complex glazing systems
