Company Description

Primary Objective:

To provide analytical and financial due diligence and procurement expertise in alternative finance and procurement (AFP) / PPP infrastructure advisory. To provide and manage advisory services assignments for owners, lenders and bid teams. To assist in the development of staff and markets in alternative finance and procurement / PPP and infrastructure advisory field.

Key Responsibilities:

o Provide analytical expertise in PPP project finance and risks, and perform analysis.

o Lead and perform value-for-money analyses.

o Provide PPP procurement expertise to owners and bid consortia.

o Lead procurement process advisory services.

o Project manage assignments and staff.

o Work with other business units at Altus and sub consultants to gather their expertise and deliver assignments.

o Provide input regarding PPP infrastructure market and assist with business development.

Regular Work Hours:

o Requires exceptional working hour flexibility, including regular long days and occasional weekend work o Requires being adaptable to different time zones for working hours o Requires attendance to conferences and client events outside working hours o Requires travel

Qualifications

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:





o Excellent analytical skills o Excellent writing skills o Positive skills in statistical analysis o Able to perform financial modeling o Able to perform monte-carlo analysis, or able to become proficient quickly o Excellent MS Excel skills and able to use mathematical and statistical functions o Proficient in value-for-money analysis for PPP projects o Able to develop a business case for PPP projects o Able to, with time, conduct workshops in PPP procurement, risks and business case development o Able to understand horizontal infrastructure components: highways, transit, energy, water and facilities o Work as part of a diverse team with different expertise o Being adaptable to different business lines / infrastructure o Works well under pressure o Flexible along different Altus business lines o Able to work with and learn equally from staff with less and more experience and hierarchy o Open to new areas of business o Reliable and responsive o Able to take charge of tasks and deliver o Open communication and inquisitive

Education/Professional Development/Work Experience Requirements:

o Minimum 4-year university degree (bachelors) in finance, engineering, commerce or related field o MBA an asset, with a technical undergraduate degree o Designation as MBA, P.Eng., CA, PMP desirable
