- Applicants working in this post are responsible for the supervision and assessment of staff, data quality assurance, and attendance management.
- They’re also required at this post for the performance metrics of suppression staff, facility maintenance, daily or weekly coverage as the on-call duty chief, and policy administration working at this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to this post for utilizing record management systems, time management software and business intelligence software to collect and analyze data.




- Applicants working in this post are also appointed to provide expertise in managing the operational systems and policies used by the Surrey Fire Service.
- They’re also required at this post to communicate and encourage firefighters, fire officers, administration team, key stakeholders and other agencies working at this post.

Job requirement

- Candidates must have completed post-secondary education in a skilled discipline pertinent to the job function combined with relevant and sustained leadership experience.
- Candidates must attain a dedicated combination of education and experience to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must have excellent interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills along with an extensive knowledge of fundamental principles and practices related to modern and proactive fire service operations.
- Candidates must be a forward thinker and transparent leaders who motivate and engage others while making evidence-based decisions with clarity and diplomacy to be eligible for this post.

Work setting

- Applicants must have supervisory experience in a unionized environment and measurable experience in a fire service-exempt management position to be eligible for this post.
