POSITION: Auto Body Technician, Licensed
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 2 years previous experience as an autobody technician
- Auto Body & Collision Damage Repairer (310B) License
- I-Car certification training and I-CAR welding certification an asset
- Knowledge and the ability to operate machinery and tools required to complete repairs
- Basic technological and mathematical proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Have a high level of integrity and reliability
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional, positive demeanor and robust work ethic
- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power and hand-held equipment
- Valid driver’s license and a clean abstract
- Ambitious to become more skilled and efficient, attend training as required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review work orders and estimates of repair and plan out work to be performed
- Retrieve carts and parts as required
- Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
- Fit and weld replacement parts into place using wrenches and welding equipment
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting air tools, air grinders and wrenches
- Use hydraulic pressure machines to straighten bent frames and align damaged components,
using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
- Adjust or align headlights, wheels brake systems
- Replace front end components, body components, doors, frame and underbody components
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bold or weld replacement parts into place and remove, install and repair panels
- Repair or replace interior components
- Fit and secure windows, vinyl trim, and metal trim to vehicle bodies, using caulking guns, adhesives and brushes
- Inspect repaired vehicles for proper functioning, completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job and test vehicles to ensure proper alignment and handling
- File, grind and sand repair body surfaces using hand and power tools
- Repair or replace interior and exterior components
- Move vehicles as required for shop production
- Monitor and take part of active cleanliness of shop and equipment
- Mentor, coach, train and support the development of apprentices
- Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment
- All other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $63,811.00-$176,994.00 per year
