Program Information: BGC Charlottetown's youth program aims to serve the needs of young people in the community aged 12-18 through a variety of programs aimed at developing life skills, technological literacy, employability and academic programming. These programs will provide a sense of community and a safe space for youth that is currently under served in the Montague community.
Job Overview:
The BGC Montague Program Site Supervisor will act as both a program facilitator and provide administrative support to the youth engagement coordinator in the facilitation of our daily youth engagement programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a protected and fun environment for individuals aged 12-18 through implementing daily activities and communicating with participants and co-workers. The candidate will work to enhance the participants experience by providing new and engaging experiences as part of daily programming.
Responsibilities:
● Be onsite during scheduled business hours
● Supervise Program Leader Staff during program hours to ensure high quality delivery of scheduled programs
● Act as site supervisor and provide supervisory support to Program Leaders
● Support the Youth Engagement Coordinator in the planning and facilitation of program activities in the areas of Arts, Sports, Science and Technology, Cooking, Outdoor Education, Mental health & Well Being, Social and Emotional Learning
● Accurately track program participation
● Engage and integrate all participants in daily programs
● Manage daily operations and facility maintenance
● Ensure cleanliness and operational readiness of the facility through regular maintenance, maintain appropriate supplies and contact service providers as required ● Effectively communicate with other staff, supervisors & families
● Monitor participants throughout the day to maintain safety
● Keep detailed logs of daily interactions with members, incidents & accidents
● Empower the participants to successfully learn and develop appropriate life skills for their abilities
● Provide administrative support
● Act as a point of contact for the youth engagement coordinator when they are not on site
● Support, plan and implement community engagement as required

Qualifications:
● Emergency First aid & CPR
● Clear Criminal Record check and Vulnerable sector search
● Previous experience working with youth/young people
Other Assets Include:
● Fluent in French
● Previous supervisory experience
● Previous experience with Microsoft Suite
● Mental Health First Aid
● Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
Job Types: Full-time, Salary Contract length: Permanent (3 month probation period) Pay: $42,900 Annual Salary Expected hours: Schedule: ● Day and evening shifts ● Monday to Friday ● Weekends as needed
