They are adding a Branch Operations Manager to their team in the Fraser Valley area of BC.

The new hire will oversee all day-to-day operations of the branch location, including inventory control, logistics, warehouse and yard management, safety compliance, and team leadership. This role requires a big-picture thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to ensure the facility runs safely, efficiently, and at peak financial performance.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Process Improvement

- Implement, maintain, and enforce company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and execute initiatives for continuous process improvement; regularly review and assess ongoing branch operations.
- Assist with the development and management of the branch location’s annual operating budget.
- Analyze and control operational expenses related to materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Oversee general facility management, ensuring the building, yard, and office areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Inventory Control & Logistics

- Coordinate and schedule all incoming and outgoing freight and delivery trucks.
- Track, manage, and replenish inventory to maintain required par levels.
- Optimize warehouse and yard layouts to maximize stock capacity while maintaining safe, high-volume traffic zones.




- Schedule routine and preventative maintenance for all material handling equipment.

Team Management & Safety

- Hire, train, onboard, and motivate warehouse staff to meet tight schedules and demanding performance targets.
- Guide and coach employees to understand and exceed shifting customer expectations.
- Champion a culture of safety by ensuring employees follow all company safety guidelines.
- Facilitate and ensure the team conducts formal safety meetings at least twice per month.

Customer & Vendor Relations

- Connect directly with clients and develop strategic operational workflows to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Swiftly address and resolve customer concerns with suitable, professional solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers, vendors, and transport companies.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in an Operations Management, Branch Management, or Warehouse/Logistics leadership role; a solid technical understanding of the scaffolding industry with no formal managerial experience will also be considered.
- Strong background in inventory management, layout optimization, and international supply chain coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and build accountability within a warehouse and yard team.
- Deep commitment to workplace health and safety protocols.
- Financial acumen with experience managing operational budgets and expenses.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Compensation:

- $80,000-100,000 annual base salary (negotiable)
