Casual Facilitator - Tisdale & Area Early Years Family Resource Center
Applications will be accepted for a Casual (on call basis) Facilitator position at the Tisdale & Area Early Learning Family Resource Center with duties to commence as soon as possible.

Purpose:
The Tisdale & Area Early Years Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a program developed through a collaboration of community and government stakeholders. The strategic objective of the FRC is to create a community-based environment where families can easily access a wide variety of services for children aged prenatal to age five and their parents/caregivers. It is a model of integrated services that provides a framework for inter-sectoral collaboration and for combining the interest, expertise and resources of local service providers.
The FRC provides an environment where several different program elements are focused on supporting healthy child development and positive parenting skills. All programs offered at the FRC are free of charge and all families are welcome.
The FRC Facilitator is responsible for planning, assisting and facilitating play-based learning and sessions for families.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- An Early Childhood Education Certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years' experience working with children, youth and families.
Preferably facilitating programs for both children and adults.
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Proficient in the use of technology, specifically the Microsoft Suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- A valid First Aid/CPR Certification
- A valid Saskatchewan driver's license and access to a vehicle
- The ability to work flexible hours including regular business hours, early evenings and occasional weekends.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality it all situations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Without restricting the generality of the purpose above, the FRC Facilitator shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
- Plan, organize,
assist and facilitate age-appropriate play based learning and sessions for children and parents that are reflective of the center's vision
- Maintain the physical space ensuring appropriate and adequate resources are available and the environment is safe and clean for visitors. Assist in cleaning and sanitation of equipment and toys
- Assist in creating a learning rich environment for families including drop-in periods and scheduled sessions with programming partners at the FRC
- Ensure that safe work practices are being followed
- Work collaboratively as part of the team with casual staff, volunteers, contracted agencies and assist them when necessary
- Be available and accessible, if parents have any questions or concerns
- Provide families with information and linkages or referrals to outside agencies when required
- Assist in promoting upcoming programs happening at the EYFRC � posters/Facebook
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Assist in data collection from participants:
- Help families and visiting professionals with check-in
- Registering current families and helping families fill out paperwork
- Entering registrations in the database using the iPad/computer
- Distributing and collecting surveys/questionnaires
- Maintaining attendance records
- Assist in data collection from participants (collecting questionnaires, facilitating surveys, maintaining attendance records)
- Provide families with information and linkages or referrals to outside agencies when required
- Perform other duties and obligations as assigned by the Early Years Coordinator
Pay Range: $21.53/hour
