Educational Associate - Casual

Duties The Educational Associate provides support services to students and teachers in a school setting within the division to meet curricular outcomes. The duties of an Educational Associate will vary depending upon the special needs of student(s).

Qualifications

- Minimum Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution or (GED) is required.
- Formal post-secondary training/experience as an educational associate or comparable work experience would be considered an asset, along with the ability to work as part of an instructional team.




- Possess a current and valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency in the operation of computers
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without a lift and up to 120 pounds with 2 person lift or with mechanical lift
- Ability to handle physically/emotionally demanding children (ie. aggressive, hyperactive students)
- Robust interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated empathy for students with exceptional needs will be considered a requirement for potential applicants.
- Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union.

Pay Range: $19.90 - $23.63 per hour
