Early Years Family Resource Centres bring services and information to people in one location at no cost for all families with young children, prenatal to age five.

Early Years

Centre's are prevention and education orientated and work to welcome all parents and young children in the community. By providing families with positive early-learning experiences and opportunities to improve their parenting skills, Early Years Family Resource Centre's contribute to the building blocks necessary for children and families to succeed.

The Humboldt Early Years Family Resource

Centre is available to any and all families in Humboldt and the surrounding areas.

The Humboldt Early Years Family Resource Centre is currently accepting applications for a Casual Facilitator role. The facilitator will be responsible for welcoming families into the Centre, ensuring positive family engagement, maintaining cleanliness standards, and program delivery. The Facilitator will report directly to the Humboldt Early Years Family Resource Centre Coordinator.

As the Early Years Family Resource Program Staff, the ideal candidate:

- Demonstrates skills and experience in working with, engaging, and supporting a wide variety of families and parents or caregivers in a respectful and welcoming way.
- Demonstrates a passion for working with children developed through professional experiences and education in early childhood development and Play and Exploration- informed environments.
- Has detailed knowledge about child development, including how children acquire language,



problem solve and develop physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally. The candidate will also have knowledge and experience in how to transmit this information to parents and create programs and an workplace that meets the varying needs and stages of families with children aged zero to five.
- Can create and maintain collaborative working relationships so that community partners can integrate their professional expertise into the programming offered at the Early Years Family Centre.
- Has experience in developing and facilitating programming with children and adults. This includes the ability to regularly review programming and adapt standard curriculum and programming to the context of the Early Years Family Resource Centre, including the ability to integrate parent and caregiver feedback during the course of programming.
- Demonstrates strong cultural competence and awareness and respect for family diversity.

Qualifications, Experience and Abilities:

Applicants may have experience working with families, knowledge of early childhood development, effective parenting, and the broad determinants of health.
