Main Responsibilities: Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with CAN/ULC-S536 and applicable fire codes; document deficiencies and corrective actions.
Verify and commission newly installed fire alarm systems (including associated panels); complete verification reports and program addressable systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on fire alarm, fire suppression, and emergency lighting systems.
Maintain accurate, code-compliant records of inspections, testing, impairments, and repairs in line with Levitt ISO standards.
Coordinate subcontractors and support project execution in collaboration with design and project management teams.
Participate in after-hours and on-call rotation as required.
Contribute to Health & Safety initiatives, including JHAs and Safe Work Practices.
Represent Levitt-Safety professionally on-site,
supporting customer safety needs.
Ideal Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience in fire alarm systems, special hazards, and addressable panel programming.
Valid CFAA Registration (required) or Journeyman Electrician with strong fire alarm experience.
Working knowledge of applicable NFPA, ULC, and fire codes.
Robust communication and documentation skills.
Comfortable using mobile devices and laptops in the field.
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
Ability to obtain required site clearances (background check, drug & alcohol testing, references).
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing hands-on technical work.
