GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:Duties include inspection of aerospace precision sheet metal and machining details, assemblies and special processes.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:This position will require working in a team environment with machinists, inspectors, and managers to reduce cost and lead-time by establishing CMM programs that will decrease inspection time and provide accurate measurement results as feedback during the first article process, final AQL inspection, and support of lean manufacturingWhen not programming the CMM this position will require other miscellaneous quality assurance activities such as supporting final inspection, training junior inspectors/programmers etc.Program complex parts using CMM with COSMOS softwareEstablish CMM program controls, setup sheets, tooling control, file securityProvide assistance to inspectors using the programmable CMM as necessaryInspection products using CMM in accordance with our quality system proceduresSupport final inspection with AS9011 reports and or CMM inspectionsProvide customer support when necessaryPerform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications (using tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, CMM’s,



micrometers)Generate First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102Document/discuss unacceptable or inferior quality materials with internal and external parties and take corrective actionInternal auditing of control plans and process conformanceParticipate in Kaizen events & 5S initiativesAll other duties as assigned*DIMENSIONS:Post-secondary education in a related field.
