Evoke is partnering with several pubs, restaurants and diners in the Fraser Valley area, BC, Canada, looking for experienced and hardworking cooks to join their team.
They have struggled to recruit and retain kitchen workers who are Canadians or permanent residents. Therefore, they are applying for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire Temporary Foreign Workers.

Responsibilities may include
- Set up and stock food items and other necessary supplies
- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, and utilizing other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at each end of the shift
- Perform inventory checks and complete food storage logs
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook preferred
- Experience with varying cooking methods and procures
- Familiar with Industry best practices
- On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic English skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Proven ability to work as a team member
- Ability to follow directions and instructions
- Reliable and hardworking
