Instructors and Guides at Deep Cove Kayak teach and guide a variety of different programs. Instructors will teach a variety of different lessons with kids and adults alike. Instructors and Guides will guide programs from small tours to large groups, mostly day-touring with the occasional overnight program.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Client Safety on the water

- Carrying first-aid, re-warming and repair kits with you at all times

- Delivering an enjoyable, memorable guest experience

- Setting up for tour or lesson, carrying kayaks and ensuring they are clean and in positive working order

- Helping maintain a clean and safe working environment

- Participate in on-going staff training

- Help out beach crew and rentals customers when needed

Requirements

- Valid Nationally recognized Guide or Instructor Qualification (Paddle Canada, SKGABC, BCU, ACA etc..)

- First Aid and C.P.R.

- Great Interpersonal skills

- Good team member

- Able to lift over 75lbs





- Strong decision-making and leadership skills

- Other languages an asset but not required (especially looking for Japanese, French and Mandarin speakers)
