Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR plans and policies to support the company's mission and strategy as we grow across borders. This role will also oversee an existing team of two HR experts.

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned leader in human resources with a track record of successful leadership and a deep understanding of various HR functions. You're well-versed in modern HR practices and trends, having spearheaded the implementation of fresh policies, systems, and procedures to bolster talent recruitment, engagement, development, and performance in a dynamic, high-energy setting.

Given our dynamic environment, candidates with previous experience overseeing HR practices in a manufacturing setting are preferred.

Core Accountabilities:

- Provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, including compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and employee relations.

- Serve as a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team, guiding key organizational and management issues.

- Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices that influence HR strategies, policy setting, and compliance monitoring.

- Participate in ongoing HR initiatives and projects to enhance HR services to the business.

- Identify external business and market trends to adjust HR strategies accordingly.

- Build and expand an HR team to support HR requirements in multiple jurisdictions.

- Oversee HR practices in a manufacturing environment.

- Manage both onboarding and terminations.

- Review and improve the salary and grading structure and develop incentive programs.

- Oversee Health & Safety and overall Employee Engagement.

- Manage healthcare advantages.

- Evaluate internal talent capabilities and drive actionable plans to develop and grow talent through succession and development planning.





- Develop and implement Performance Management for all employee disciplines.

Health and Safety Oversight:

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety programs and policies.

- Ensure compliance with local, provincial/state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA requirements and industry-specific safety standards.

- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.

- Lead investigations into workplace accidents and incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

- Provide training and guidance to employees and management on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices.

- Stay up to date on relevant Health and Safety legislation and trends to maintain compliance and improve safety standards.

Requirements:

- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including previous experience as an HR Director or VP of HR.

- At least 5 years in an HR leadership position with a focus on Health and Safety.

- Experience managing HR teams across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, particularly in Ontario, Canada, and New York State.

- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field, with a preference for a Human Resources Professionals Association designation (CHRL / CHRE) and Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA, or similar) is strongly preferred.

- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of HR management.





- Experience in organizational/cultural change, employee engagement, and company-wide communication.

- Proactive, people-oriented, with strong interpersonal and hands-on leadership skills.

- Knowledge of payroll and related systems (e.g., ADP-WFN).

- Experience evaluating and negotiating benefit plans to meet team needs.

- Full-cycle recruitment expertise.

- Strength in managing multiple priorities and balancing the needs of several demanding clients simultaneously.

- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

- Excellent consultative skills.

- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities to evaluate business challenges and develop appropriate solutions.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Cloud Platform.

Pay: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
