What the day will look like
As a Risk Management and Insurance Intern in our Halifax Office, your position will provide you the opportunity to assist our Account Executives and Brokers in managing the key processes that serve clients risk management needs and undertake the client-facing activities associated with the ongoing service of an account. You will gain exposure to the technical and administrative coordination on all aspects of the account from processing client requests, reviewing documentation for policy changes to working with the marketing/broking team on negotiating coverage terms on renewal and/or new business clients. As a trainee, you will have the exposure to key business/segment groups in our Halifax Office, such as construction, renewable energy, aboriginal, public sector, marine & aquaculture and claims advocacy as well.

This opportunity will provide you the foundation and understanding of Aon’s risk management philosophies and processes for a long term fulfilling career. As a participant, you will be aligned with a specific business unit/office and follow a distinct track developmental program.
Matched with a mentor to support your integration into Aon, this opportunity is tailored to fit the interests and skills of the trainee. This is an office-based role.
Each rotation will involve technical training, on-the-job placements and special projects in the assigned business unit/office. Performance management touch points demonstrate Aon’s commitment to coaching and developing future business leaders.

Education:
- Enrolled in a Post-Secondary degree.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and career development including insurance courses/certifications (I.e. General Insurance Level 1)
