We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in the Utilities and Energy sector to assess, analyze, and transform enterprise technology landscapes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the current-state IT environment, determining organizational and technology maturity, identifying capability gaps, developing strategic roadmaps, and leading execution of transformation initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business and technology, engage with executive stakeholders, and drive enterprise-wide modernization programs across applications, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, cloud, OT/IT convergence, and digital transformation domains. Conduct comprehensive assessments of enterprise IT landscapes, including: Data and analytics ecosystems Cybersecurity controls Assess organizational, process, technology, architecture, and digital maturity using industry-standard frameworks.
Identify capability gaps, technology debt, operational inefficiencies, and transformation opportunities. Create multi-year transformation roadmaps aligned to business objectives. Recommend technology platforms and architectural patterns that support scalability, resilience, security, and operational excellence.
Transformation
Planning & Execution Lead strategic transformation initiatives from assessment through implementation. Translate architecture vision into executable programs and projects. Monitor transformation outcomes and measure value realization.
Utilities & Energy Domain Leadership Electric Utilities Gas Utilities Renewable Energy Smart Metering (AMI) Asset Management Field Operations Customer Information Systems (CIS) Energy Trading and Risk Management Understand utility regulatory requirements, operational processes, and industry-specific technology landscapes. Support modernization initiatives involving Grid Operations, Digital Utilities, DERs, Smart Grid, ESG, and Energy Transition programs. Serve as trusted advisor to executive leadership, CIOs, CTOs, and business executives.
Present assessment findings,
maturity scores, recommendations, and transformation strategies to senior leadership. 12+ years of enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or digital transformation experience. ~8+ years of experience within the Utilities and Energy industry (mandatory). ~ Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise transformation roadmaps. ~ Experience working with large-scale utility environments consisting of both IT and OT systems.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $83,144 - $195,060 CAD. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
