We’re looking for an experienced Field Training Specialist to develop, coach, and support new and existing Service Technicians working in industrial and mining environments. This is a hands-on role focused on building technical capability, reinforcing safety standards, and ensuring technicians are field-ready and fully compliant.
You’ll split your time between field-based coaching and classroom-style training, working closely with supervisors to strengthen team performance and consistency across all service areas. What You’ll Do Train and onboard new Service Technicians through probation and field readiness
Deliver hands-on and classroom training in field operations, safety, and technical systems
Coach technicians and supervisors on protected work practices and quality execution
Conduct field audits, inspections, and competency assessments at customer sites
Support certification training (TDG, hydro testing, fire suppression systems, etc.)
Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation
Identify skill gaps and support continuous improvement across teams
Partner with leadership on onboarding, investigations,
and corrective actions What You Bring 10+ years’ experience in fire protection / suppression or related industrial field services
Strong background across multiple disciplines (e.g., fire suppression, alarms, sprinkler, SCBA, fall protection, hydro testing, special hazards)
Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
Previous training, coaching, or senior technician experience is an asset
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Comfortable delivering training in both field and classroom settings
Strong communication and ability to coach others effectively
Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic systems/databases
