Description The Financial Analyst (FA) will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial analysis to support corporate accounting, construction and development, and special projects.

In addition, the FA will support financial planning and forecasting processes, perform detailed cost and variance analyses, and support monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities. The FA will need to translate the analyses into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations to inform decision-making at all levels within the organization.

The FA will work on, but may also be required to take ownership of, various special projects such as process improvement initiatives and financial system enhancements.

Requirements

- University Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent work experience with a qualified accounting designation.
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financial analysis, preferably in a not-for-profit, construction/development,



and/or real estate environment.
- Must have a strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Must be able to build strong collaborative relationships and establish rapport and credibility within the organization and with external partners and service providers.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to details, timeliness and budgets.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel
- Experience and working knowledge of Yardi is an asset.
- Able to communicate fluently and effectively, both written and orally, in English and work well with property management/site staff.
