As a Finishing Technician, you’re the last stop before our trailers hit the road — and that makes your role essential. You bring each trailer across the finish line by making sure every detail looks right, works right, and meets Southland Trailers’ quality standards. The work you do is what our customers see and remember.
This is a role for people who care about craftsmanship and love seeing a project come together. You’ll complete the final stages of assembly and inspection, turning a nearly finished trailer into a product ready for the customer.

What You’ll Do Complete final finishing work to prepare trailers for delivery to customers
Install and finish components such as: Decking
Wiring and electrical components
Decals and branding
Windows and doors
Other finishing and trim components Inspect completed trailers to ensure quality, fit,
and finish meet Southland Trailers standards
Identify and correct deficiencies to ensure a high-quality final product
Work closely with your team to meet production targets while maintaining quality
Use hand and power tools safely and accurately
Follow standard operating procedures and quality requirements
Participate in problem-solving to improve processes and product quality
Maintain a clean, organized workspace through daily 5S activities
Take ownership of your work and treat every trailer as something you’re proud to put your name on What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in general labour, finishing, assembly, or manufacturing
Robust attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
Comfort using hand and power tools
Ability to lift, push, pull, and position materials weighing 50+ lbs
Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and quality standards A team-first mindset — committed to supporting teammates and getting the job done right
Positive attitude and openness to feedback and continuous improvement
Ability to work independently while contributing to team success
Mechanical aptitude is an asset #HP
