Midland Transport is currently looking for a Freight Handler at the Corner Brook Terminal. We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and quality work, and is committed to delivering excellent service to both customers and colleagues.

Shift

Monday to Friday - 4am -12:30pm

Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm

Responsibilities

- Accurately load, unload, sort, stage, and transfer freight.
- Ensure freight is properly manifested before departure.
- Verify freight counts, labels, destinations, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Identify and report damaged, overage, shortage, or misdirected freight.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks,



and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support cross-docking operations, inventory counts, freight audits, and special customer requirements.
- Assist drivers, customers, and other team members as needed while providing professional service.
- Participate in weekend reefer checks and other operational duties as assigned

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, freight handling, or LTL transportation experience is an asset.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Solid attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Dependable with a positive attitude and strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg).
- Comfortable with repetitive lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
