Position Title: Controller (Director Level)

Role Summary:

This is a versatile and challenging position that works across all businesses, deliver financial reporting, accounting, tax and support for new business initiatives (accounting, tax, internal control requirements). The role is responsible for corporate accounting (Consolidated Reporting, Board Reporting, Regulatory Reporting), operational accounting support for the Home Care divisions and oversight of tax requirements. Beyond technical capabilities, this individual will require strong people leadership, team development and change management skills.

We are seeking a results-oriented professional with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Oversees consolidated financial reporting (~ +10 legal entities, 3 major operating segments)

- Provides analysis and presentation of financial information to Senior Management and the Board of Directors

- Assesses accounting policies and procedures in accordance with accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE) and regulatory standards. Provides accurate accounting guidance,



using professional judgement and support on complex issues and transactions, in compliance with ASPE.

- Manages the external audit engagement process and relationship with the Auditors; manages communication and presentation of results to the Audit Committee

- Oversees and monitors the effectiveness of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting

- Plays a key role in defining the evolution of financial reporting automation (significant investment made to automate reporting and planning: next steps include defining strong operational controls and future phases of enhancements)

- Supports the FP&A; team with the preparation of annual and interim forecasts, with direct accountability for all Balance Sheet and Cash Flow projections.

- Supports Tax planning; tax authority audit activity, tax compliance and tax risk management using both internal resources and external service providers.

- Supports evolution of the Finance team (significant growth, operational finance functions may eventually report into this individual)

Salary Range:

Based on experience (Competitive) plus Bonus 20%

Requirements:

- Experience in a management role in the Finance group of a complex and growing organization, preferable in healthcare (pharmaceutical or medical products).



Experience working in industries which have a high volume of transactions would be considered a significant asset.

- Experience in the development and appreciation for principles of corporate governance and the ability to interface effectively with senior management.

- Well-rounded technical skills in accounting, tax, audit and operational finance.

- Strong knowledge in financial accounting and reporting, and of the internal control environment, including auditing and systems design. Robust working knowledge of IFRS and/or ASPE.

- A successful track record leading teams, implementing change, and developing people. Ideally has led a team of a similar size.

- Experience leading or supporting system implementation project

- Proven track record in a leadership role, managing a team in a complex organization

- Transparent, innovative and collaborative leadership style.

- High integrity, leadership, and teamwork; values sharing of information, is open and honest

- Self-motivated, pro-active, and a disciplined doer with high energy; ability to manage multiple priorities

- Strong people manager – focusing on employee communication, development and engagement

- Strong communicator – working across a variety of business and finance teams at all levels

- Comfortable managing processes in a high growth business

- 10+ years of progressive work experience in financial roles

- 5+ years managing teams directly or indirectly

- Prior Controllership experience

- Degree in accounting or equivalent preferred

- Accounting Designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, CA)
