The Inside Technical Sales

Representative will be responsible for providing superior customer service, product selection and quotation preparation, technical support to the outside sales, and execution of large bid submissions and project management.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide Exceptional Customer Service:Efficient and accurate entry of customer ordersEffectively managing time to ensure best possible response times to customer inquiriesWorking with the purchasing department to expedite customer orders when requiredKeeping customers informed of order/inquiry statusDisplaying a positive attitudeSupport Outside Sales Team:Demonstrating awareness of company,



branch, and territory targets and strategiesIdentifying and relaying customer opportunities, issues and concernsBuilding customer relationshipsExecuting quotation follow-up; including maintaining and updating sales quote and relative customer information in the CRM databaseProduct Selection and Quotation Preparation: Identifying customer needs (delivery times, product, price, etc.)Focusing on details – valid price, product number, descriptionCoordinating with suppliers as neededProviding a quality bid, in the shortest possible and reasonable timeframeProviding technical informationDeveloping advanced knowledge of our order entry and CRM softwareImplement the Company's Strategies and Visions:Acting on the opportunity to make upsells and upsells or sell products from our other divisionsPromote the service and repair of all products offered by John BrooksExecution of Large Bid Submissions and Project Management:Thoroughly understanding of all technical documents associated with large EPC bidsProper selection of products based on technical requirementsOrganize and manage meetings with applicable departments to complete large bids and execute projectsProvide detailed response to product offeringTimely proposal submission and on-time project executionQUALIFICATIONS:Essential:College Diploma in a related fieldA minimum of 1-3 years of related experience (industrial sales)Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,



Word etc.)Must exude an enthusiasm, passion, confidence, and an optimistic attitudeA positive mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processesMust be driven and determined to win ordersMust be a collaborative and a supportive team playerExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent attention to detailBe able to “think on your feet”, problem solve, and demonstrate creativityExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skillsMust take ownership of own actions and demonstrate initiativeA demonstrated alignment with John Brooks values; customers first, ownership/accountability, respect, performance excellence, integrity and innovationDesirable:Working knowledge of fluid handling equipment and technical/mechanical processesWorking knowledge of industry products, systems and applications is an asset; specifically, fluid mechanics and dynamics, and rotating equipment/machineryWorking knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systemsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Fast-paced setting in a dynamic competitive industryDaily customers, sales reps and other department telephone calls, faxes and emailsExposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptionsMust be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with all required doses of a vaccine approved by Health Canada.
