The IT Analyst is responsible for the installation of computer systems, ensures that backup systems operate effectively, buys hardware and software, provides the ICT technology infrastructures for an organization, and contributes to organizational policy with regard to quality standards and strategic planning.

Reporting Relationships: The IT Analyst reports directly to the IT Manager, Noranco Canada, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the General Manager.

Primary Duties &

Responsibilities: Evaluate user needs and systemfunctionality

- Responsible for the smooth running of allICT facilities to ensure they meet the needs of individuals and projects(including anti-virus software, print services and email provision, etc.);Ensure that software licensing laws areadhered to and that all systems are secure from internal and external attack;Operate within IT budget
- Sourcecompetitive prices from suppliers, where appropriate,



to ensure costeffectiveness
- Research and install current systems
- Provide secure access to the network forremote users; provide users with appropriate support and advice
- Manage crisis situations, which mayinvolve complex technical hardware or software problems
- Keep up to date with the latesttechnologies
- Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and softwaresystems as required;Ensure backups of critical systems andvalidate restore process in case of disaster scenario.All other duties as assigned Required Skills: Knowledge of programming or systems analysisrequired Required Experience: 1-3 years of experience as an Analyst orAdministrator in a Manufacturing Environment Level of Education: Post-Secondary Education in IT or relatedfield
