About the Role:Success in this role requires a sharp eye for detail, a strong results-driven mindset, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Job Duties:
As a mechanic with CanaDream, your responsibilities will include: Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, mounting and balancing tires, transmission servicing, fluid and filter replacements, brake replacements, front-end alignments,
battery installations, and headlight/taillight replacements.
Perform pre-screening of vehicles to identify potential warranty-related issues and assess eligibility for repairs under Ford’s warranty program.
Conducting thorough diagnostic procedures to identify vehicle issues and providing accurate repair recommendations to Guests.
Inspecting vehicles to ensure compliance with provincial emissions and safety requirements.
Performing necessary repairs and conducting test drives to confirm successful resolutions.
Staying up-to-date with current industry best practices in automotive repair.
Stay up to date with Ford's warranty policies, procedures, and requirements to ensure compliance.
Keeping clear, accurate, and legible paperwork for Guests and company records.
Creating and maintaining electronic service records.
Cleaning and maintaining a safe, organized work workplace to promote equipment longevity and workplace safety. Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements: Hold a valid Canadian Journeyman License (required).
Be a qualified Automotive Technician or Mechanic with 3+ years of light-duty mechanical experience.
Proficiency in operating all auto repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
Experience using and operating alignment systems.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, thriving in a team-oriented workplace.
Exhibit creative problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic math and computer skills.
Strong organizational and sequencing abilities.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams effectively.
Hold a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driver’s abstract, and have reliable transportation.
