Job Summary:

Ascent Employment is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Production Baker Assistant to support our baking team in producing high-quality baked goods. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, baking, and packaging of various bakery items, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards. This role requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Baking Assistance: Assist the head baker with the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, and other ingredients according to specific recipes and production schedules
- Baking and Cooking: Operate ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment to bake a variety of products such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Product Finishing: Help with decorating and finishing baked goods, including glazing, icing, and packaging, ensuring a visually appealing final product
- Quality Control: Monitor the baking process to ensure consistency in product quality, including checking for proper texture, taste, and appearance
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages or ordering needs to the head baker
- Cleaning and Sanitation:



Maintain a clean and organized work setting, including washing equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the bakery team to ensure smooth operations and meet daily production targets

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is an asset
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of flour or other ingredients (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to work early morning shifts and weekends as required
