Our employer is an International Freight Forwarder and has an opening for a Logistics Coordinator, Import Air/Ocean (Toronto). It's a Toronto-based international transportation solutions provider offering full freight forwarding, warehousing/distribution and trucking / intermodal services and we are looking for an energetic person to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid experience in a 3PL environment.

- Coordinate all aspects of the shipment process, including booking, manifest, Bills of Lading and billing.

- Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy and perform data input to open file

- Ensure all client special instructions are followed

- Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of work

- Maintain effective relationships with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status

- Tracking status with truckers & ocean and air carriers and keeping clients/agents advised of status





- Ensure shipments are released in a timely manner by communicating with customs brokers and cargo is delivered in a timely manner.

- Follow up on client’s reports

- Perform billing functions including preparing client invoices and all required support documents

- Maintain customer profiles

Desired Skills and Experience

- Minimum 3 years related experience.

- Experience handling Ocean and Air shipments is an asset

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)

- Proven experience in freight brokerage sales, with a desire to grow skilled

- Strong customer service skills

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines

- Team Player

*** Compensation: $50k CAD plus your own agent and book of business where the company will provide commissions and fund the operations
